The mission of the Whistleblowers Foundation is to assist members of the media, their sources and the public-at-large who suffer financially because they make unselfish decisions to report the truth where the public trust is violated.
This initiative is being organized by Stephen W. FitzGerald, past president of both the Society of Professional Journalists (Cleveland), and the Association of Railway Communicators (Wash. DC); and a former Public Relations Society of America board trustee. FitzGerald launched Nonprofit Newswire in 1999, and publishes journalist Roldo Bartimole, recipient of the Shafeek Nader Trust’s Joe Calloway Award for Civic Courage.
